7 tips to learn any language faster

Here are 7 tips to learn any language faster:

1. Plan your learning to stay consistent. 

Consistency is extremely important. Block a time of the day for language learning in your planner and also when and while doing which activity you'll be getting listening practice. 

2. Avoid gamified Apps like the plague. 

Gamified Apps are a massive waste of your time and they ruin your attention span and ability to focus. The success rate of language learners using Apps like Duolingo is basically 0%. Why are you still using them?

3. Read instead of studying grammar.

Studying grammar is unnatural. You learn grammar from the language, not language from the grammar. You acquire the language by being exposed to it a lot. The easiest and fastest way to learn grammar and vocabulary is reading a lot daily.

4. Listen to the language all the time.

While reading will help you learn all the grammar and vocabulary fast, you won't be able to understand spoken language well if you don't listen to the language regularly. It will also help you improve your speaking. Find some podcast and listen to it every day while you do other activities.

5. Don't rely on other people: Practice speaking on your own.

You don't need to move to the country or spend a lot of time with native speakers to get good at speaking. You can practice speaking on your own, by repeating sentences aloud.

Language Islands are the best way to get good at speaking quickly. If you are serious about learning a language, you need to start using them immediately.

7. Write daily using a translator.

Learning to write well will help you think well and speak well in the language. You can use Google Translate or Deep L to practice writing on your own. Start with the Scriptorium technique and switch to translation when you think you're ready.
