2 reasons why you fail at language learning
Nov 10, 20232 reasons why you fail at language learning.
And how to solve it.
If you're not getting quick results in language learning.
You're making one or both of these mistakes:
1. You use an ineffective system.
2. You are not learning consistently.
Ok that makes sense but...
What's makes a system effective?
Easy.
An effective language learning system.
Is one that improves your:
1. Knowledge of vocabulary.
2. Understanding of grammar.
3. Understanding of pronunciation.
4. Speaking fluency.
5. Speaking accuracy.
6. Speaking pronunciation.
As much as possible in the least amount of time.
There are specific activities that improve each one of those.
But they all involve lots of language.
Either consumption or production.
Basically the more language you get.
In the same amount of time.
The better.
A good system will give you a lot of language.
A bad system will give you few and limited words.
The more total words in the same amount of time the better.
That's why Duolingo and language classes are terrible.
They waste your time giving you very limited language very slowly.
They want you to keep depending on them forever.
Language learning doesn't need to take forever.
Language learning can be fast if you do this:
1. Memorise vocabulary fast with associations.
2. Read every day.
3. Listen every day.
4. Use Language Islands.
5. Listneing and repeating drills
6. Translation.
That's it. That's all you need.
I can't make you be disciplined and do the work.
But I can guide you to step by step to fluency.
If you're willing to do the work.
If you want to learn a language fast.
